a large vocabulary

Hi everyone.
I'm about to go to bed. It's 10 to 2 a.m. in Japan. It's late.
To master English I have to have a large vocabulary.
As talking with my boyfriend I decided to strength my vocabulary with English app called Power Words8000.
I'll work on  harder.

Christmas Project 2

Hi everybody.

I'm sooo happy now. Do you want you know why?
I made a candle as a test tonight. I was thinking that I want to make a pretty candle for Christmas. When I went shopping one day I found a beautiful candle which has tons of dried fruits inside. It was really pretty but expensive so I thought I could make one like this by myself and I gave it a try.
It was a first time to make a candle so I was pretty sure that I was gonna screwed up. BUT it turned out to be really successful.

This  is a picture of the candle which hasn't been lighted yet.

And this is a picture of it which is lighted.

There are some sliced lemons which I made them dried in the oven few days ago and I also put some pretty red berries planted in our garden.

My hobby Hula

Hi everyone. How are you doing?

I've been practicing HULA since September.
My lesson is on every Saturdays and I went to it today.
It looks easy to dance hula compared with other kind of dance like jazz dance, hiphop dance, ballroom dance, ballet.
But hula is really difficult. You have to move your fingertips like waves, wind, flower... And every move has meanings. It is really interesting and deep.
I miss hawaii.
I want to go to hawaii with my boyfriend again:)

awful night

A thing is in my mind and it won't go away.
It has been bothering me and I'm sure it will go on till I sleep.
I hate the night like this.
How do you manage if you have the night like this?

Winter Drink

hi everybody.
how are you doing?
It's getting colder and colder. 
I love winter.
Until last year my favorite season was summer but somehow I became winter lover.
Last night I made a cup of hot milk with maple syrup and brandy. 
And now I'm drinking a cup of hot milk with sugar and cinnamon. 
yummy yummy yummy.

Christmas project 1

Hi everyone!
How are you? It's raining all day.
Today I made ornament christmas tree.
This is my first time to make something like this. It was really fun!

I want to tell you a little bit about what I did today with some pictures.
I used some ornaments, glue gun and glue sticks.
That's all what I used and I got them from dollar shop.

First I put ornaments in circular form and glued them each.
And I made the same one but smaller than the first one to look like tree.
Then I put it on the first circular ornaments.

In the end I put golden ornaments to hide gaps of red ornaments.
And ta daaaaaaa!!! That's it!

What do you think?
The shape of the tree are weird I know...
I am clumsy in these kind of works so the details are so messy but
I will work on it to do it better!
I will try it with the blue ornaments next time!

Christmas

How are you?
Yesterday I had stuff meeting conducted in English and I realized my English skill is really low. I have to study harder.

Christmas is coming! I'm so excited. How about you?
This year I'm thinking I want to make Christmas wreath with my mom.

Organic products

Hello. How are you?

Today I want to talk about 'organic products'
Recently my mother devoted herself organic foods.
She dislikes using chemical seasoning and artificial additives.
My father also making organic vegetables in our kitchen garden.
I read an article that said even if I use expensive anti-aging skin lotion
of famous brand, as long as the product has bad ingredients it doesn't help anything that I want better.
I have to think about what I eat, what I drink, and What I use more seriously.

My hobby

Good evening everyone.
Today I want to talk about one of my hobbies.
I like listening to classical music.
It makes me so clam and brings peace to my life.
One of my favorite conductor is Gustavo Dudamel. He is from Venezuela.
Now he is a music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
That is one position almost no one can get as his age.
Many reviews say he is real genius who born once-in-a-century.
He is powerful and has abundant ability of expression.

a social scandal

Hi everyone. how are you?

I live with my family. I usually come home late from work so they've finished dinner when I got home. Having dinner alone I usually watch TV. 
Tonight there was some terrible news. One of them was about ingredient camouflage of processed foods .(I'm not sure this word is appropriate.)
A famous department store camouflaged a food contained black tiger prawn as a food contained Japanese tiger prawn. I think you don't know the difference. It's a same thing that a butcher sells house meat as beaf.
The company had a press conference and a director of the company apologized about the scandal. The apologizing part was ok but the part I couldn't stand was that he said the company didn't know about any camouflages and it wasn't arbitrary at all. I can't believe it. It's too insincere of the company. 
Anyway my day was great until I heard the news. But the news made me very angry and unhappy.
Do you have same kind of problems in your country?

Translation of one of my favorite essay

Today I will try translate the essay written by Yataro Mastuura in English.
This essay was published in a Japanese fashion magazine called Oggi.
Fallowing translation is not all of the essay but my favorite part.


’Suddenly you hit on you want to do something new.
But many people don't know what to do or where to start.
 I used to be like that.
When you don't know what to do or where to start,
 you should start with imitation.
For instance if you want to write a novel, you write one exactly like your favorite novelist's work.
You can write what ever you want if you've been given a special ability of writing since you were born.
But many people don't have the kind of natural ability.
So if you want to write better sentences, stop thinking and start writing with imitation.
That's what I think important when you start something.'

ふと何かをやってみたいとは思うけれど、
いざとなったら何をしたら良いかわからないという人は多いと思う。
いつかの僕もそうでした。
どうしようかな、と思ったときは、まず何かを真似ることから始めるといい。
たとえば、小説を書いてみたいと思ったら、
好きな作家の文章を真似て書いてみる。
自分が特殊な能力を持っているならともかく、
上手な文章を書いてみたいと思うなら、
あれこれ悩まずに真似ることからはじめるのが一番いいとぼくは思っている。

My breakfast

Good morning everyone. It's ten past eleven in Japan!
I ate a rice cake cooked with mayonnaise and dried bonito shavings  for my breakfast.
Does this sound yummy or gross for you :)?

I'm very curious how popular Japanese food is around the world.
Most of my friends from other countries don't like Japanese food very much.
I think people eat Japanese food either it's healthy or it looks fashionable to eat Japanese food and to use chopsticks well.
I have the same idea when I eat French food. Of course French food is great but Gyudon which is a bowl of rice topped with beef (famous Japanese food) is much more delicious to me.

Nice to meet you

Hi. My name is Misa. I live in Japan.
I've studied English when I was a student for about 10 years including studying abroad in the USA.
Recently I came up this idea that I want to learn English again and I want to be able to speak, listen, read, and write in English like I do in Japanese.
